Bull Stewart

Andrew "Bull" Stewart is one of the most accomplished drug-free powerlifters and strength coaches in American powerlifting history. Throughout his competitive career, he captured 15 Drug-Free Powerlifting World Championships and 15 Drug-Free Powerlifting National Championships, while setting state, national, American, and world records across multiple federations, including the ADFPA, WDFPF, USAPL, AAU, and WABDL. He also became the first drug-free ADFPA lifter to total over 2,000lbs. Stewart’s best total ever was at 2,200lbs (850lb squat, 520lb bench, 830lb deadlift). He has remained a lifelong advocate for clean competition.

In recognition of his extraordinary achievements, Stewart was named "Athlete of the Century" by Sports Illustrated in January 2000. He is an inductee into the AAU Strength Sports Hall of Fame, the Washington State USAPL Strength & Power Hall of Fame, and Alabama/Mississippi Powerlifting Halls of Fame, and has been recognized as one of the  sport's all-time greatest lifters.

As a coach, Stewart has dedicated more than four decades to developing athletes at every level, from first-time lifters to world champions. He has coached hundreds of athletes, emphasizing technical excellence, disciplined progression, and lifetime drug-free competition.

Stewart is the Founder and Head Coach of the Bull Stewart Power Team, a program that has produced numerous national and world champions and earned the distinction of six-time AAU Team World Champion. Stewart is the strength and conditioning coach the Rainier Beach HS Basketball Program. His leadership has helped establish one of the Pacific Northwest's most respected strength programs, built on integrity, accountability, and competitive excellence.

In addition to coaching, Stewart co-owns Columbia City Fitness Center and the Stewart Performance Center in Seattle, Washington, where he continues to mentor athletes, educate coaches, and promote strength training as a lifelong pursuit. His legacy is defined not only by his championships, but by the generations of athletes whose lives have been transformed through his coaching and leadership.
